Coto de Caza man pleads not guilty
Full Description:
Illegal U-turn allegedly killed 2 people on a motorcycle.
LOS ANGELES — An Orange County resident accused of causing the deaths of two young men by making an illegal U-turn pleaded not guilty Thursday to vehicular manslaughter charges.
Mark Paolella, 41, of Coto De Caza faces up to two years in jail if convicted of the two misdemeanor counts stemming from the deaths of motorcyclist Tyler Love, 22, and passenger, Keith Maylor, 21, on Nov. 12.
Paolella, who is not in custody, is due back in court in September.
Paolella was driving south on Pacific Coast Highway when he made the illegal U-turn just past Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades, said Jonathan Diamond of the City Attorney's Office.
